Masonry Pond & Waterfall
…We’d like to share with you the step-by-step process of how a complete installation is done. From the drainage to the pond and waterfall, here are a series of photographs with brief captions explaining each phase of work.
STEP ONE:
Excavation and the set-up of the pond’s skeletal structure (a grid of 3/8 inch diameter rebar and wire mesh).
STEP TWO:
Mixing and troweling the product to a depth of no less than 5 inches.
STEP THREE:
Building the skeleton of the primary falls (this can be done in a number of ways).
STEP FOUR:
Mortaring rocks and boulders into place.
Of course, the project only really comes alive once the plants have made their home around it!
